Dear Pardee RAND Community, When students Zara Abdurahaman (cohort '21) and Shona Olalere ('22) attended a short course on decision making under deep uncertainty taught by alumnus Edmundo Molina-PĂ©rez ('11), they knew they needed to bring the training to Africa. I'm thrilled to share their vision became reality this summer! They helped to facilitate a one-week "DMDU Summer School" in Abuja, Nigeria. Shona, Zara, and Edmundo worked with Professor Steven Popper to organize the event. They also enlisted alumni Tobi Oluwatola ('12), and James Syme ('18) to lead workshop sessions. More than 50 students, faculty, and practitioners came from across Africa, Europe, and beyond to attend the program, including Pardee RAND student Javier Rojas Aguilera ('22) and RAND engineer Eder Sousa. This remarkable program equipped them all with the tools to promote effective and responsible decision-making in our rapidly changing world. Thanks to our creative and driven students and alumni, Pardee RAND is helping people around the world envision a brighter future. Warm regards,
