    Ashwin Parulkar, a senior researcher at the Centre for Policy Research (New Delhi), discussed vulnerabilities that Delhi’s homeless face and how shelters currently address their needs. He focused on how people enter and survive homelessness in Delhi and how various geographies of homelessness are governed.

    To help the Pardee RAND community better examine and respond to racial injustice and inequity, Morehouse College president David Thomas engaged in a dialogue with Dean Susan Marquis on the topic “From Outrage to Action: Where do we go from here?” Open to all at RAND, more than 250 people participated.

    Dr. Jorja Leap, executive director of the UCLA Social Justice Research Partnership, discussed the dynamic and ongoing relational process of community-based participatory research. As the keynote speaker for Pardee RAND's annual Faculty Leaders Program, she also shared anecdotes and wisdom gleaned from her experience working with at-risk and gang-involved youth, formerly incarcerated women, death row inmates, and many others.
