The Pardee RAND Graduate School is launching a program for faculty from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic Serving Institutions with an eye toward recruiting a more diverse array of leaders for ours and other public policy programs. The inaugural PRGS Summer Faculty Workshop in Research and Analysis will take place at RAND's Santa Monica headquarters next week. Public television and public radio personality Tavis Smiley will be meeting with the faculty participating in the workshop on Thursday, July 25. Mr. Smiley will be giving a talk following the workshop on the opportunities and outcomes for African Americans and other minority populations in the United States. Given your interest in education, public policy, and the development of future leaders who reflect the diversity of our communities, we invite you to join us for this special conversation with Tavis Smiley.
