Program
Whether bringing medical care to the people in Miami who need it most, training medical students through a community-based approach, or sharing his prolific research through a multitude of books and journal articles, Dr. Pedro "Joe" Greer has a long record of helping to alleviate disparities in underserved communities. He will share his thoughts on overcoming the challenges of attracting, recruiting, and retaining diverse students as well as ensuring that schools are providing education that is relevant to the diverse communities from which their students come.
Dr. Greer, a Presidential Medal of Freedom honoree, will be the keynote speaker for the 2015 Summer Faculty Workshop in Policy Research and Analysis. He will share insights from his distinguished career in public service through a conversation with Dr. Gery W. Ryan, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Pardee RAND Graduate School and Senior Behavioral Scientist at RAND.
