Savoury Millet and Sorghum Snacks
- 1 cup sorghum
- 1 cup millet
- 1 cup rice
- 1 cup groundnut
- 1 cup cashew nut
- salt (optional)
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander
- pepper (optional)
- 2 cups water
- Wash millet, rice and sorghum in a strainer until clean, then bring to a boil. Cook 40-50 minutes on medium heat, then strain excess water.
- On a baking tray, place assorted nuts and season with salt. Bake for few minutes and allow to cool. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and roughly blend, leaving some grains whole (millet).
- Remove from the blender and mix them using your hands. Fold them several times until the mixture is well cooperated. Season according to your preference and mold in different shapes
Note: This can also have variations with vegetables, fish, beef, chicken, goat or lamb.
