Analytic Concentrations at Pardee RAND

Mastering Tools of the Trade

While taking their required courses, students gain an understanding of the interrelationships among the three analytic techniques that Pardee RAND teaches: economic, quantitative, and social science analysis.

After completing their requirements, students interested in developing a deep understanding in one of these techniques are encouraged to choose an analytic concentration for their electives.

The analytic concentration is optional. Those students who choose to do an analytic concentration must take at least three units of approved elective courses from one of the following three analytic concentrations:

  • Economic Analysis
  • Quantitative Methods
  • Social and Behavioral Science

A list of current and recent elective courses can be found on the Curriculum page, with links to each course's description. The list is comprehensive and can be filtered by each concentration.
