Leadership in the Public Context

Leadership matters. The business shelves in bookstores are full of leadership books because businesses know that leadership is essential to their bottom line. Leadership also matters for public policy, but the context is much different than in the private sector.

In this course, we will explore how public leadership is fundamentally different and ask why that matters. Along the way, we will also seek to understand your unique personality and how it applies to public leadership, with the culmination of the course being a synthesis of course topics with a personal statement of leadership informed by individual discovery.
