Statistics for Policy Analysis I
This course is designed to introduce students to the foundations of quantitative analysis for causal inference. We will focus on making causal inference from observational data and quasi-experimental settings. The course will focus on cross-sectional data and introduce students to the workhorse model for quasi-experimental settings with cross-sectional data – the linear regression model. By the end of the course, students will have a thorough understanding of the linear regression model, and be able to analyze the underlying assumptions and interpret the estimation results within the context of the application in question.
