Let There Be No Cornfusion

It is without a doubt in the nature of a very spirited Chris Carson (cohort '14) that he gifted to Pardee RAND its very own game of cornhole — customized with the name of the school no less. Arriving just in time for summer, Chris wanted to contribute to the school, noting, "Cornhole is a place to get together as a group, and to increase community. It’s a fun game and I enjoy it. I’m hopefully graduating and giving something that will last a little longer after I leave. I wanted to give something back to the school." Chris is on track to finish his dissertation next month.

Chris made sure to note that "27 feet" is the standard distance between which to place the front of the two boards. Cornhole is typically played in teams in which players toss the bean bags to the raised platform at the other end. Players receive 1 point for a bag on the board and 3 points for a bag in the hole. The goal is to hit 21 first. The customized boards, which Chris had specially made, note the school name on one and the school motto “Be the Answer” on the other. Chris invites everyone to come back and play.
