  • Fred Pardee: New Gift Creates Student Housing Community for Pardee RAND

    Fred Pardee gifted two apartment buildings valued at $10 million to Pardee RAND. The gift created a student housing community—Pardee Commons—for the graduate school.

  • David Wang: A Philanthropic Legacy

    Pardee RAND received a $1 million gift from the estate of David Wang, a former member of the school’s Board of Governors who passed away in February 2020.

    Former Labor Secretary Ann Korologos has been a part of RAND for more than 20 years, as a leader on the Board of Trustees and as a donor. Her most recent gift includes $500,000 to support the Pardee RAND Graduate School and $2 million to help researchers build on timely studies and expand their impact.

    Award-winning journalist Soledad O'Brien gave more than $500,000 to the Pardee RAND Graduate School to support underrepresented minority students or first-generation college graduates. She named the scholarship after her parents, Edward and Estela, who inspired her.

  • Tim Wolf: Carrying on His Family's Commitment to RAND

    Charles Wolf, Jr. was an economist who spent more than 60 years at RAND and was the founding dean of what is now the Pardee RAND Graduate School. He and his wife, Theresa, included a $1 million bequest in their estate plans to support the school and its students. It's a commitment his son Tim plans to carry forward.
